Air Purifiers

Room coverage depends on the model and its ClimatePro Delivery Rate (CADR). Our catalog ranges from personal units covering 10–15 m² (such as the IQAir Atem Desk) to whole-house solutions covering 100+ m² (such as the IQAir HealthPro 250 or Blueair Pro XL). Always check the product specifications for the recommended room size and consider running the purifier one speed higher in rooms with poor ventilation or high pollution.

HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filters capture at least 99.97% of airborne particles 0.3 microns or larger — including dust, pollen, mold spores, and pet dander. Some brands go further: IQAir's HyperHEPA technology filters particles down to 0.003 microns, which includes viruses and ultrafine pollution. For the UAE, where sandstorms and construction dust are common, a true HEPA or HyperHEPA filter is highly recommended.

Filter lifespan varies by model and usage. Pre-filters typically last 3–6 months, activated carbon filters 6–12 months, and HEPA filters 6 months to 4 years depending on the brand. For example, IQAir HyperHEPA filters can last up to 4 years, while Blueair filters are recommended every 6 months. High-dust environments in the UAE may require earlier replacement. Most modern purifiers have a filter replacement indicator to alert you.

Yes, air purifiers with HEPA filtration are extremely effective against sandstorm particles. Desert dust particles are typically 1–100 microns, well within the capture range of HEPA filters. For best results during sandstorms, close all windows and doors, set the purifier to maximum speed, and consider a model with a robust pre-filter to extend the main filter's life. Models with high CADR ratings like the Coway Airmega or Blueair Classic series are particularly effective.

Absolutely. Air purifiers with HEPA filters effectively remove common allergens including dust mites, pollen, pet dander, and mold spores. Activated carbon filters additionally remove VOCs and odors that can trigger respiratory issues. For allergy sufferers, we recommend running the purifier continuously on a low setting and choosing a model rated for your room size or larger. Look for units with an air quality sensor that automatically adjusts fan speed based on detected particles.

CADR (ClimatePro Delivery Rate) measures the volume of clean air produced per minute in cubic meters or cubic feet — higher is better. ACH (Air Changes per Hour) tells you how many times the purifier can filter the entire volume of air in a room each hour. For optimal purification, aim for 4–6 air changes per hour. Both metrics together give you the best picture of a purifier's performance for your specific room.

Yes! We carry dedicated car air purifiers such as the IQAir Atem Car and the Honeywell Move Pure series. These compact units are designed for vehicle cabins (typically 3–5 m³) and plug into your car's USB or 12V outlet. They filter dust, exhaust fumes, and pollutants that enter through ventilation. Especially useful for daily commuters in the UAE where traffic congestion and construction dust are prevalent.

Noise levels vary by model and speed setting. Most modern purifiers operate at 20–30 dB on the lowest setting (whisper quiet) and 50–65 dB on maximum. Sleep modes typically drop to 17–24 dB with dimmed or turned-off display lights. Premium models like Blueair and IQAir are engineered for particularly quiet operation. Check the product specs for exact noise levels — we list them for every model in our catalog.

Air purifiers with activated carbon filters are effective at removing odors, cooking smells, smoke, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The amount of activated carbon matters — models with larger carbon filters provide better and longer-lasting odor removal. For kitchens and areas with strong odors, look for purifiers with dedicated gas-phase filtration like the IQAir GC MultiGas or models with thick activated carbon beds.

All our products come with Type G plugs (three-pin rectangular), which is the standard plug type used in the UAE and UK. This means they work directly with UAE power outlets without any adapter needed.
